Dear Panda is a Bilingual Literacy subscription service in Mandarin for readers starting from age 0.
Members get a monthly themed box of 2-3 beautiful children's books with pairing crafts-hand-picked to be a great fit for bilingual children. Each book comes with an audio version-free on our Podcast "My Dear Panda" and a bilingual reading guide for a comprehensive reading experience.
Dear Panda has a selection algorithm that involves multiple standard. Our curator team developed these standard to gather over 500 great children's books for our annual review. We then exam each book with a rigorous quality check to select only the best ones for the vibrancy of your Dear Panda Experience.
Your reading experience with Dear Panda is our priority, so if the books you receive are not up to par, please let us know. We want to make it right as soon as possible.
Once you have started a subscription, you will see a charge of your subscription fee. If you order before the 15th of the month, your first box will ship within a few days. You will receive a shipping notification sent by our system. If your order data is after the 15th, you'll receive your box early at the beginning of the next month.
Each box will follow a new theme with delightful crafts. Don’t forget to use the email link to rate and review the books you love—this helps us improve the quality of every box!
Except for the gift option, all monthly subscription renews on the 17th of each month with an email notification two days before the renewal.
Reading becomes meaningful when it is relevent to our life. Rather than sending random titles, out curateor creates themes for the books and the pairing crafts. This provides opportunities of conversation about new subjects, and helps the children to develop specific interests.
We offer limited edition boxes for special occasions and holidays, such as the "Four Great Intervention Box". We can purchase them at the Panda Shop.
We understand that sometimes you may want a non-subscription box. For a try-it-out moment of Dear Panda magic, check the gift option on your check-out page. Gift option will not automatically renew.
We use USPS as our default shipping provider. All boxes are mailed from Houston, TX and can take 2-8 days to arrive at your door. We ship to the continental United States and Canada. Faster shipping method such as USPS Priority Mail is available through purchase in the Panda Shop. International shipping options are available, please contact our customer service.
One of our book selection standard is the books are newly-published.It is very unlikely that you own the books from Dear Panda boxes.
If you happen to receive a book that duplicates with your personal collection. Simple take a photo of the duplicates and send the photo to us. We will include an extra book in your box next month. No need to send the duplicate back to us.
Yes! The previews are published on our WeChat subscription channel each month.
You can manage your susbritpion at your accnout page of our website. Here are some options: 1. Update your subscription: switch to different line when your child is older. 2. Skip a month of subscription and resume the next month 3. Switch from monthly to yearly membership plan. 4. Cancellation: we recommend cancel before the 17th for monthly members. Cancelation after the 17th will be honored after you received the box of the next month.
Please note that at this time, the fee associated with annual membership option is non-refundable.We understand that new subscribers may want to try out our service before purchasing an annual plan. Try starting with our Monthly Membership, and if you love our books (which we hope you will), you can change to Annual Membership at any time!
Dear Panda box subscription purchases are final sale and nonrefundable. This includes subscription boxes, gift cards, gifts, shipping, and taxes. If you have received an item that has been damaged during the shipping process, please contact us so that we can get you a replacement item that is the same or comparable to the item that was damaged. Any returns made to us will not be eligible for a refund.
Yes! International shipping typically involves additional shipping fee, which can be paid by purchasing "International Shipping" in our Panda Shop. Please contact customer service to determine your best shipping rate.
Our International shipping employs DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid).
If a shipment is DDU, the buyer pays any applicable customs duties, fees or taxes when the shipment arrives at the border - before the shipment can be delivered.
